Is selling my home by owner hard?
“Hard” is a relative term. For some, walking and chewing gum at the same time is hard. For others, rocket science and brain surgery are easy. If you are a reasonable person with reasonable goals and reasonable personal skills, selling your home by owner is not hard. A good way to tell if selling your home by owner is a good choice for you would be to run through the checklist in our blog post, Is For Sale By Owner (FSBO) right for me?
I don't have the money to pay for the service...do you offer financing? What other forms of payment do you accept?

In addition, we accept online payments with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or PayPal. If you have to pay with cash or check, we must receive payment prior to building your signs and scheduling your photo shoot.

It includes innovative features that others just do not provide. In addition, if you use our photography services which are included in our Premier and Premier+MLS packages, we use professional equipment that helps capture the details of your home and relay that detail to potential buyers. We take time to individually edit all your photos and videos. When you combine the user friendly site with our distinguishable signs, professional quality photography, and all the innovative tools we provide to you to market your For Sale By Owner home, we are a total package that is leaps and bounds ahead of the competition.
Why would I pay for ListedItMyself.com's services when there are so many free options available?
There are several answers to this question that are listed above, but here’s something to think about…Take a look at other “free” options and you will see that they are anything but “free”. Sites that don’t charge the seller a fee make their money by selling advertising space to a slew of marketers. You will quickly find that their focus isn’t getting your home sold, it is how many services they can connect to your listing in hopes of getting a click…in effect, using your home as their own marketing tool. Our focus is helping you effectively market your home to interested buyers.
Do I have to sign a contract with ListedItMyself.com to list my home on the site?
No. On ListedItMyself.com, you are in full control of your listing. If you choose an MLS package, as required by MLS rules, you will enter into a listing agreement with the listing broker.
How long will it take for me to sell my For Sale By Owner home on ListedItMyself.com?
It is impossible for us to say exactly how long it will take you to sell your home using our site because it depends on so many factors that we don’t control (price, location, economy, time of year, etc). We have had homes that have sold in as quickly as 6 hours after they were listed with us, and there are others that are still waiting to be sold. However, in today’s market, a good average has proven to be 1-2 weeks if the home is reasonably priced for the condition and area.
Is there a commission to be paid at closing?
If a buyer’s agent is involved in the transaction, there will be a 3.5% commission to be paid by you at closing. This 3.5% is based on 2.5% going to the buyer’s agent, and 1% going to the listing brokerage. The amount offered to buyer’s agents may be voluntarily increased at the time of the MLS paperwork is filed. In the event an unrepresented individual wants to make an offer on the house, there is a 1.5% commission due to the listing brokerage. This includes preparation of an MLS-approved purchase agreement, facilitating the inspection / request for repairs process, and helping keep the transaction on track for a smooth and successful closing.
How long does it take to create my listing?
To get things started, you can create a “Coming Soon” listing, which takes five minutes or less to create. Completing your Coming Soon listing and paying to publish it releases the order for your signage and notifies us to schedule your photo shoot. Once the photos have been uploaded, completion of the narrative for your listing typically takes fifteen minutes. We provide a step by step listing wizard that walks you through the process.
Can I use a mobile device to create a listing?
Absolutely! We’ve created ListedItMyself.com to be user friendly on all device types.
Once I create my listing, how soon will it be published on the website?
Once paid for, your listing is published to our site immediately.
How long will my listing be active on your site?
Your listing will be available on our site until it sells or you decide to remove it.
Is ListedItMyself.com a real estate brokerage or real estate agency?
Our customers’ homes are put on the MLS by brokerage Listeditmyself.com Real Estate Group, LLC.
What MLS will my home be published to?
In Northeast Alabama (Huntsville, Madison, Decatur and all the surrounding areas), your property will be published to the North Alabama MLS. In the Birmingham and surrounding area (INCLUDING TUSCALOOSA AREA PROPERTIES), your property will be published to the Greater Alabama MLS.
