Is selling my home by owner hard?
“Hard” is a relative term. For some, walking and chewing gum at the same time is hard. For others, rocket science and brain surgery are easy. If you are a reasonable person with reasonable goals and reasonable personal skills, selling your home by owner is not hard. I don't have the money to pay for the service...do you offer financing? What other forms of payment do you accept?
If you don’t have the cash to pay for our service up front, we might still be able to help. We are able to offer 6 month, 0% financing to customers with approved credit through PayPal. PayPal terms and conditions apply.
In addition, we accept online payments with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, or PayPal. If you have to pay with cash or check, we must receive payment prior to building your signs and scheduling your photo shoot.
Are you a local For Sale By Owner company?
Yes. We are based in Huntsville, Alabama, and we have an incredible team in the Birmingham area. We personally deliver your signs and supplies to your door. Customer service and satisfaction are the cornerstones of our business, and the personal relationships we have created with our customers are highly valued to us.
Is ListedItMyself a franchise?
Currently no, but exciting things are in the works. We created ListedItMyself.com from scratch ourselves with the goal of building THE BEST For Sale By Owner website and service in Alabama. What makes ListedItMyself.com better than other For Sale By Owner websites and services?
We have spent a lot of money, time, and effort to build our website from the ground up to be as user friendly as possible for our customers. Why would I pay for ListedItMyself.com's services when there are so many free options available?
There are several answers to this question that are listed above, but here’s something to think about…Take a look at other “free” options and you will see that they are anything but “free”. Sites that don’t charge the seller a fee make their money by selling advertising space to a slew of marketers. You will quickly find that their focus isn’t getting your home sold, it is how many services they can connect to your listing in hopes of getting a click…in effect, using your home as their own marketing tool. Our focus is helping you effectively market your home to interested buyers.
Do I have to sign a contract with ListedItMyself.com to list my home on the site?
No. On ListedItMyself.com, you are in full control of your listing. If you choose an MLS package, as required by state law, you will enter into a “Limited Services” agreement with the listing broker, but it may be terminated at anytime.
How long will it take for me to sell my For Sale By Owner home on ListedItMyself.com?
It is impossible for us to say exactly how long it will take you to sell your home using our site because it depends on so many factors that we don’t control (price, location, economy, time of year, etc). We have had homes that have sold in as quickly as three days after they were listed with us, and there are others that are still waiting to be sold. However, a good average has proven to be 1-3 months if the home is reasonably priced.
Is there a commission to be paid at closing?
If you choose our DIY or Premier package, a commission may be offered to a buyer’s agent if you choose to do so, but is not mandated. If you are a Premier+MLS package customer, there will be a 3% commission to be paid at closing if an agent is involved in the transaction. The 3% consists of 2.5% going to the buyer’s agent, and 1/2% going to the listing broker, which covers the cost of state defined minimum services. You may choose to increase the buyer’s agent commission during the MLS paperwork process.

How long does it take to create my listing?
If you are having ListedItMyself provide photos, you will create a “Coming Soon” listing, which takes five minutes or less to create. Completing your Coming Soon listing releases the order for your signage and notifies us to schedule your photo shoot. Once the photos have been uploaded, completion of the narrative for your listing typically takes fifteen minutes. We provide a step by step listing wizard that walks you through the process.
Can I use a mobile device to create a listing?
Absolutely! We’ve created ListedItMyself.com to be user friendly on all device types.
Once I create my listing, how soon will it be published on the website?
Once paid for, your listing is published to our site immediately.
It is important to note that the MLS listing process is separate, and typically takes several days after the MLS paperwork has been completed by the customer to be posted to the local MLS.
How long will my listing be active on your site?
Your listing will be available on our site until it sells or you decide to remove it.
Is ListedItMyself.com a real estate brokerage or real estate agency?
Our customers’ homes are put on the MLS by brokerage Listeditmyself.com Real Estate Group, LLC.
