Introduction
Lakeside Estates was established in the 1960’s when the founder of Allison Candy Company sold a few Elk river front lots to Huntsville buddies, a number of which were from the original VonBraun NASA Rocket team. Mr. Howard Sandlin, a supervisor at Huntsville Utilities, built our home as his beloved weekend fishing retreat in the mid sixties. We purchased the property in 2014, renovating the home from top to bottom.
